A journal like this might be long overdue, and not sure how effective it will be either since I know not everyone reads journals and exclusively look at art. Still, I feel I have to say a few things after I had to block a user for this. Before I start I want to make a huge disclaimer, I don't want you guys to be afraid to reach out to me or asking me questions in case it might bother me, don't worry, if I'm busy I'll respond when I can and if whatever I hear bothers me the worst thing I'll do is ignore it as long as it doesn't become aggressive. That said, onwards with the issue at hand.
Requests, and specifically in the context of birthdays, isn't something I hand out except I expressively state that this is something I grant you. If you ask for a request, I'll either respond saying no and possibly give a reason for it if I'm in a good mood and ignore it if I'm not in the mood to deal with it. Do not, and this is important, do not ask for requests in the comment section of the pic, I feel it's disrespectful to focus on when you can get some free art when I've just uploaded a pic I've spent hours on wanting feedback and then I get a comment asking when I can give them something. Furthermore, if you do comment asking for such a thing, don't start arguing with me when I say no. The reason I had to ban a user recently was that I was met with nonsense and hate when I tried explaining why I wouldn't give him a request at the time. I tolerate a lot of stuff but that kind of behavior just won't fly.
Also, to touch further upon the so called "birthday request", just don't. I get it, birthdays are fun occasions and you might see this as something the world ought to celebrate granting you special privileges, but alas, it doesn't magically give me extra hours to work on something just for you. To put it into perspective, on DeviantArt alone I have over 1000 watchers, I shouldn't have to spell it out that I can't give each and every one a free pic as a gift. It's just a ridiculous thing to expect and it's even more ridiculous to get mad at me for not being able to do it.
Don't get me wrong, just like anyone else I like celebrating birthdays, and I do like giving gifts to friends and such. Now notice the key word in that sentence, "gifts", not requests. I'm working on on a birthday gift as I'm writing this journal, so it's not something that I oppose in itself. The main thing with that though is that it's something I only give to friends (with few exceptions being other artists I greatly respect) that I figure I know well enough to give a nice gift to. Naturally, I don't know all my watchers well enough to give each and every one a good gift, so don't expect that either if we've spoken only once or twice. Overall, I only make gift art when I'm inspired to do so and have a good idea, it's not a different word for "requests".
This was a pretty serious journal, and I hope it doesn't scare anyone off from reaching out if there's something you wanna talk about. However I've had so many people asking for the same thing that I had figured would be pretty obvious that I can't offer. For better and for worse, I don't have a tiny audience anymore, I just don't have the time to grant everyone free art. Believe me, I'd love to be able to do more for you, I absolutely love seeing comments when I've made someone's day, but it's just not realistic to do that every day, for everyone. Hope you still manage to appreciate what I do, even if that can at times can feel like not enough.
To finish off on a lighter note, here's a joke; I just broke up with my girlfriend, though my dad really helped me get through the break up. He said, "Would you forget about this girl already? She's no good in bed anyway!"

Thoughts on DeviantArt and other outlets (Pixiv!)
Hello everyone! I know I haven't been particularly active lately, I have some stuff brewing and I do hope to draw more soon, however that's not why I'm making this journal entry! I've heard that DeviantArt have updated their policies, now so far I can't say I've been affected by them in any noticeable way. I mark my stuff as mature, I strive to only do characters that are 18+ (haven't always succeeded when commissioned for example as I don't always read up on every character involved, however such uploads seem to have already been removed by DeviantArt previously as well) and I don't draw real people, so I'm not sure I'll be affected at all. So unless that changes, I suppose I'll keep using DeviantArt as usual, more or less. Actually my main takeaway is that more explicit material would be allowed on a subscription tier, which does sound interesting to me as I've wanted to draw more of that and have drawn that sort of stuff for Furaffinity so I might look into that in the future. Not
July 2023 Update, I'm Alive!
Hello everyone! Hope you haven't missed me too much, though I do appreciate it if you've missed me a little bit. I know I've been inactive for quite some time at this point and I just wanted to give some updates on what's going in for ol' Toby, for one thing I had my birthday a week ago so I managed to survive another year! I also graduated from my school so I had plenty to celebrate, and it was glorious. Anyway, you're probably wondering why I haven't been drawing, and the simple answer is life gets busy as you get older. However it's not just that, my old mouse (yes, I use a mouse to draw for those that don't know) was messing with me which made drawing a downright chore. However I've finally gotten around to getting a new one, so now at least I'm not being held back by my tools. That's not to say I'm ready to say that I'm officially back in business, life is still quite busy but I'm dipping my toes into the waters that is drawing again so hopefully you'll see more stuff soon! I'll
Closing shop on commissions (April)
I've decided after all these years to retire from drawing fetish content... And with the April Fool's joke out of the way (hehe) I just wanted to say that I'm not currently gonna accept anymore commissions. I've got a few cooking and I will finish those but after that I wanna focus on doing some personal projects. You may have noticed that I haven't been posting as much (yet again, grrr), and you might have guessed correctly that life got busy again. However I'll post more stuff sooner or later (hopefully sooner). Suppose that would be it for now, hope you guys have had a good year so far! I do want to encourage you to let me know if there's anything you want to see more of, like characters, themes and whatnot. I'm always open for suggestions that I may incorporate in future work!
Happy New Year 2023! And 2022 in a nutshell.
Hello everyone! I just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Happy New Year! May 2023 be kind to us all, feels like the world as a whole could use a good year right now. Either way, I also wanted to reflect a bit on the year that has been, and what's coming in the future. Generally, I know I haven't been too productive as far as drawing goes in 2022, why? Well a bit of this and that, life really, but I finally got into kind of a groove around Halloween. I think I've drawn more since Halloween than I did during the entirety of 2021 so that at least is a good personal trend upwards. Here's hoping I manage to outdo myself in 2023! Outside of that I also introduced two new OC's, my mean bunny Isabella and my gentle Fennec Maria, quite happy with both of them and I'm sure I'll use them plenty in the future along with all my OC's. I do feel optimism for the future, I have a few ideas cooking that I hope to do very soon. Some that's been a long time coming too. Aside from that I'll continue
